Meet the Photographer

Hey, my name is Alicia Ordaz.

Hi, I’m Alicia! My photography journey started when I was about 16. My mom bought a nice camera, handed it to me, and started telling people I took photos—so I showed up, learned as I went, and slowly fell in love with it. I didn’t charge for those early sessions; they were all practice, creativity, and learning. Over time, I taught myself how to shoot, how to edit, and how to bring images to life. I’ve also taken a few photography classes, but most of my growth has come from experience and passion.

A few years ago, something changed—people started reaching out to me, instead of me reaching out to them. That’s when I realized this wasn’t just a hobby anymore. I truly love photography. I love editing, I love the creative freedom, and I love that every session feels different and beautiful in its own way. There’s no one right style or formula in photography, and that’s what makes it special. Every photographer has their own vision, and this is mine.

I grew up with a mom who took pictures of everything. At the time, it felt a little annoying—but now, those photos are priceless. They’re memories we get to keep forever. Because of that, I also love to capture everything. I don’t stick to one niche—I shoot a bit of everything because every moment matters.

I’m still learning, still growing, and still amazed that I get to be part of so many important milestones in people’s lives. Whether it’s a wedding, a family session, a maternity shoot, or just portraits for fun—being behind the camera makes me happy. I love what I do, and I’m grateful every day that other people love it too.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. My editing style is part of my creative vision, so I don’t switch it up for individual sessions. Please take a look through my work to make sure my style fits yours. If it is, I’d be so excited to work with you—reach out anytime!
